How do you survive camping in the rain? Well, things don´t always go to plan, do they. But rain doesn´t need to kill your camping trip! In fact, the gentle pitter-patter of raindrops on your tent can make for an excellent night´s sleep. And you might feel like you´re trying out for the SAS, but you never know when you might need the skills you learn during that trip, either!    Here are a few tips for staying happy and dry when the liquid sunshine starts falling from the sky. Choose the Right Site for Your Tent. Avoid pitching your tent on slopes, on soft ground or in depressions. Learn the Art of the Tarp. Plastic Bags to the Rescue. Pack the Right Gear. Keep the Inside of Your Tent Dry.You can’t reuse them like you can the brand name camping dry bags, but for a single trip, cheap plastic bags are a saving grace if you end up camping in the rain. Always carry a trash bag to cover your hiking pack at night, and one to store dry firewood.
